it will help - but your pillows are more likely the culprits. If you have feathers, you should get them professionally cleaned 2 times a year and always double the pillow cases and change the pillow cases every 2 - 3 days.
If you have foam pillows, you should wash them in the machine every 2 - 3 months and dry them in the dryer - and double case them as well every 2 -3 days. You should also replace them at least every year.with new ones.

My son is allergic to dust and we have a vinyl mattress cover.
It doesn't absorb moisture well, so you might want yourself sweating more at night. Good luck.

Yes, it will help. When I was a child I had really bad allergies, the doctor suggested a matress cover. It seemed to help.

u could try the pillow covers since ur face is directly on that and breathing the dust from there. there are pillow cases that cover the pillows to prevent allergies from flaring up so much http://www.allergyconsumerreview.com/acr-55.html
maybe u can focus on that 1st since $ is a problem. as far as the vinyl i guess it could help some but u get what u pay for the more effective ones are more $
