According to the allergy video they showed us at the allergist’s office, you need to keep the humidity below 45. It seems they like humidity. We also got rid of carpeting in the bedrooms, keep the mattress and pillows encased and wash bedding often.
You can use a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter; make sure though its’ a vacuum with a bag, not bag-less which creates more dust. Also, wash all linen, blankets, pillows in HOT water; decrease the number of stuffed animals, and the amount of carpeting and curtains in your home.
There is a product by Febreeze which supposedly gets rid of allergens, but I have no experience with it. (I saw it at Lowes’.)
