I had to put a vinyl mattress cover on my bed due to bed bugs. Now my bed gets sweltering hot and I keep waking up in sweat. I hate this, has someone else perhaps put a mattress pad over the mattress cover or put something else that would be more breathable and cool during the night?
Well I have gotten rid of the bed bugs that’s not the issue, I just cannot remove the cover from the mattress. Which is causing the bed to be hot during the night.

1install a ceiling fan with a lite over the bed and run the fan at nite . if you sweat the cool air will cool you down.

2I bought a water proof mattress pad for my kids beds from Wal-mart. It is cotton on the top, and some kind of vinyl or water-proof lining underneath. It is comfortable and the bed doesn’t sweat. But on another note. If you have bed bugs I would recommend getting rid of the bed altogther. My husband used to be an inspector for an exterminating company and I remember him telling me a story of a woman who had bed bugs that infested her entire home. Bed, sofa, dresser etc. She had to get rid of everything and fumigate the entire house, because they had infested the furniture.
Well in that case, try a different type of bed cover, on that isn’t vinyl, but is waterproof and hypoallergenic like the one i suggested. Or check out the link below
