   Feebreeze with the orange spayer! Antimicro something! I love febreeze! We don’t have asthma and we are pretty healthy must be doing something right.

   This was just on Oprah today. Since they live off of dead skin cells, you cannot eradicate them entirely. But vacuuming is the best way to get rid of them. Oprah’s germ expert said that you need to change the bedsheets at least once a week, and vacuum the mattress and other things, like curtains and couches, that mites can live on.

   Mites can be killed on linens and clothing by boiling them in water for fifteen to twenty minutes. Getting the material to boiling is easy enough for sheets and pillowcases, not so easy for couch cushions and mattresses. This is a problem, since the mites are attracted to the creases and crevasses of the seams of upholstery. I don’t have a good answer for you on how to get them out of the mattresses, but at least you can clean them out of the linens until they re-infest.

   The medium the mites are living on is you! They live off the particles of skin that everyone sheds naturally.
   There are millions of them in everone’s bedding and you will never completely remove them without the use of chemical sprays.
   The best advice is to launder your bedding frequently and to vacuum the bed frequently too!
