My doctor says I need to wash my bedding in 130 F degree water…how do I find out how hot my water gets? My washer doesn’t have knobs for that.

I’ve been getting clogged sinuses recently and I’m pretty sure it from the dust mites in my room.
I’ve bought an air filter and covered all my bedding with dust mites covers and that’s helped a lot, but I was wondering if I should deal with my carpet as well?
My room is small, about 10′x12′, and [...]

k so whenever I sleep I wake up with my allergy symptoms. Now I know why this is but I was wondering how to sorta get rid of the dust mites. I looked at hypoallergenic bedding but I’m a teenager and all of it that I’ve seen is white so I would rather have something… [...]
I had a mild bed bug infestation that I thought was over a couple of months ago, but I found one on my comforter this morning. This situation started back in October. Since then…
-The exterminator has made 2 visits in October and November.
-I’ve washed all my bedding, clothes, and everything in my closets. Whatever items [...]

i’ve had it for a month. it started on my hands, then got to my underarms and between my thighs, and now it’s everywhere but my face. yes, including my genitals. it’s like little bumps or bubbles that become dry and it flares when i scratch or get hot, like in the shower or bed. [...]
My son, 17 months old, is waking up with more and more bites on him. Ive searched his crib, replaced all bedding, cleaned everything like crazy, and something is STILL biting him…They are raised bites..very red, and the most recent one and two holes (like fang marks). Ive never seen a bug in this [...]
I had been getting terrible itchy welts for a while before I spotted a bug and realized that what I had were bedbugs. I have vacuumed, washed bedding & curtains, sprinkled around diatomaceous earth (a natural substance which kills insects by drying them out) and I just purchased some neem oil. I also bought new [...]

What would it take to kill 100% definitively? (on bedding, mattresses, furniture, clothing, et cetera.) Only provide methods that are not harmful to humans and will not destroy the medium the mites are living on. Please give details and documentation! Thanks.

Ok, so I’ve dust mite allergy for about a year and it just seem to be getting worse and worse despite of taking Claritin and nasal spray. I’m getting desperate and would appreciate anyone’s advice! So here’s a couple of options that I’ve in mind:
1. Move to another place: my room is [...]
I mean aren’t they visible to the naked eye? I have a futon and I’ve been getting bites but a friend said they might be spider bites.
Yesterday I took the futon cover off to go wash it (along with all the bedding) and before I left I found a spider on the back board and [...]
I put her back on cows milk at 2, and last year took her off all dairy and wheat completely and noticed she would have conversations a lot better. She was born at 6 1/2 months and had absolutely no problems and came home when she hit 5 pounds. I have had a miscarriage every [...]
I have no clue where they came from but I think we got them! Our oldest’s daughter was complaining of an itchy rash. Initically bed bugs NEVER even came to mind. I stopped using fabric saftner & her her a cream figuring it was a rash. Then our youngest slept in her room & awoke [...]
I just have found out that I have multiple allergies. I am allergic to: dust mite, all kind of dust, feathers, fur of cats, dogs and sheep, demodex mite, fish food (dried), fescue, goose-foot, timothy-grass, couch-grass, wormwood, Indian corn and hogweed.
It affects mostly my eyes. They became puffy, and I can’t open them, and then [...]
Well, it’s not "cat-infested"; I just have two small cats.
My mom and I are deathly allergic to them (under control, taking multiple antihistemines & allergy shots), But the allergy symptoms still get us. I’m wondering what products and methods of cleaning would be the most effective to remove some of the smell, dander, hair & [...]
just moved in with my boyfriend not too long ago since i was sleeping here every night anyways, and the night before last night i noticed itchy misquito looking bites on my arm and my legs. thought it was maybe a spider that didnt like me very much one night and would be gone, [...]

First, I noticed her eye watering. Not both, just one. Now, today, the side of her mouth and nose is swelling. I’ve been wiping her eye with a warm washcloth each night and it doesn’t water anymore, it just looks…painful. I’m providing photos:

I know that I have an infestation of bed bugs in my apartment. So much that I’ve read says you MUST use a professional exterminator to get rid of them. This is not even an option for me due to the high cost. I’m feeling pretty discouraged. If i get a mattress cover, use Diatomaceous [...]

My hamster has been having the constant sniffles lately, and I’m getting concerned. I used to use aspen wood bedding, then I changed to this hypoallergenic cellulose fiber stuff. No improvement! I don’t know what else I can do!

I have bed bugs. I get multiple bites on my hands almost every night.
I have enclosed the boxspring with a latex cover, but the bites continue. I’ve sprayed with Home Depot insecticide, which says on the bottle that it kills bedbugs. I’ve sprayed every inch of my bedroom with this [...]

My 5 month old son has eczema. (I’m nearly positive) It is mostly on his forehead and the left side of his face. His doctor says it’s either allergies or eczema but has not diagnosed. She has pretty much shown no interest in it, much to my annoyance! I breastfeed him. (No formula at all) [...]
I’m doing a science fair project that involves measuring how far my hamster runs on his wheel. Long story made short, he stopped running! I changed his bedding to hypoallergenic stuff (don’t ask why, just ignore), and he has almost run nothing since. However, I went on vacation for a week and he ran quite [...]
I am looking into a gerbil for a pet. A few questions I had is are the hypoallergenic and do they shed a lot? Could I buy 1 or do they have to be with each other? What kind of home and bedding is best for them? Do they like human interaction? Thank you.
