Just to be sure, has anyone taken them to a immunologist and had them tested for allergies.

Seriously, all my kids have allergies in some form. My daughter used to get headaches and stomach aches...found out she had serious sinus allergies. We got her on medication and not no more aches at all.

My ten and eleven year olds get head aches due to sinus allergies. With the right medicines we have no problems.

If it is allergies tylenol isn't going to cut it, they need something like zyrtec and an antihistamine to control their body's reaction to the allergens.

I would get them tested for allergies...they may be allergic to their mom's cigarette smoke and that could be causing the problems.

This sounds like a really difficult situation. Unfortunately, I have had the same sort of experience from the other point of view. When I was much younger, I often got sick. Actually sick, not faking-although my stepmom and father thought for sure that I was faking. They punished me and forced me to eat, even when I was too sick. I can't say if your step kids really are sick or not, but until you are sure that they aren't, be careful. Dont be too harsh with them. If they are actually sick, it is probably traumatizing to be sick so often for no apparent reason. Although I do think it is a great idea to get some sort of counseling for them. Perhaps the counselor and the pediatrician can work together to find a solution? And also, I wouldnt worry about that being an influence on your younger child. I also had a younger brother and any problems he had didnt relate to my being sick at all.
