   I you don’t mind people sitting on your bed I would suggest the following only if you are on a low budget. First the bed must be on a frame. Try to set it the same height as a couch or futon. Purchase a thick quilt and tons of throw pillows. Push the bed all the way against the wall and at Wal-Mart you can purchase the body pillows (I would buy several) and then put those against the wall then add the throw pillows. Make sure you purchase the covers for the body pillows. I have done the same for my son’s room and purchase the white pillow covers and then tie-dyed them with black. Added black & white throw pillows with different designs and a wonderul black & white quilt. Added silver accessorcies and DONE. A wonderful retro room at a low cost.

   my house layout isn’t like that but why not just try a futon and just use it as a couch when your not sleeping. It gets a little weird when other people are sitting or lounging on your bed but to fix that just get like one of those long cushion pillows that you would use outdoors to put on the futon,for guest and other people to sit on.

   Im not sure of your budget, but here’s some ideas.
   If you have the money, get a daybed. Check this out:

   It looks like a couch but its really a bed.

   But if ya don’t have the money, try this, its what I did in my old bedroom. Put the bed against a wall and put matching pillows all along the back. This way it will look more like a sitting arrangement than a bed, and at night you can just move the pillows to sleep with. Just make sure its always made. When I didn’t have any seats in my bed room, I did this and it looked better than just a bed.

   But, if you really want to, use the room dividers. I think they could look ok if you got nice ones and did it right.
