Posted by admin as Hypoallergenic Bedding
Ok. I have had this problem for a few months and no treatment seems to work. I have these weird bumps that appear on every hair follicle on my shins. They turn red and itch like crazy. I have tried several lotions, changed to hypoallergenic detergent, checked my bed for bugs, and it is not an allergy. It is not razor burn. Please help!!
I do not have pets with fleas.

1This could be a sign of SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS, a condition in which the sebaceous glands overproduce.
Try using hydrocortisone cream or selenium sulfide shampoo on the sore areas. See your doctor if the symptoms continue or spread.

2It could be one of several things. Do you own any pets? And if they are chiggers or fleas, they will probably be too small for you to see them. You could also have an allergy to grass.

4Maybe if you have a pet, they have fleas? That happened to me awhile back.

5it may be chiggers or if you have a dog scabies they bite you and then die off they are very annoying!! you could put clear nail polish over the chigger bites or if you have a dog go to the vet and get meds and they will stop.

6There are a few things that can involve every hair follicle, including follicular eczema (including follicular mycosis fungoides, unfortunately); a follicular form of schamberg’s capillaritis; scurvy; follicular lichen planus. Since there are several possibilities, I’d have your dermatologist look at it, and even consider doing a biopsy if he canot tell visually.
