Posted by admin as Hypoallergenic Bedding
I havent ever changed laundry detergents and I use the hypoallergenic stuff. I have no animals in the house and even when I did he never broke out. They get lighter and then when he gets out of bed they are back and have spread and this last for about 5 days. They do not bother him at all but they swell his feet and now they are all over his face and sometime makes his eyelids swell. I dont understand and I want to fix my baby.
I have already taken him to the doctor she claimed that it was a virus and gave him steroids which did nothing. The hives played out there usual course. He has never had hives on his neck. Just eyelids but the doctors are not doing anything and they dont want to allergy test him until he gets a little older.

1Please get your baby to an allergist as soon as possible, being on his face and eyelids is very dangerous, that is what my allergist told me when I got big long hives all over my neck, and face. When hives are on the neck the allergist told me that they could go inward and cause severe breathing problems and I have had that happen a lot of times.Even hypoallergenic products can cause problems in some people as they do me.If it were my baby I would already have him/her in the ER at the hospital.

2It might be the bed sheets, because you said they’re back when he gets out of bed. chances are its the pillow case, the bed sheets, or something else on the bed. Check what they’re made out of.

3you say you know it’s not a food allergy – but you do know that food allergies can sometimes take up to 48 hours to show up? i’m not saying that’s what it is – but maybe just don’t be so quick to rule things out. i TOTALLY agree with the other poster who said go to doc because of hives on face, etc.
