1Where did you look online? If you search in Yahoo for "Bissell Acarosan powder" you should find a bunch of retail places that sell it. I got hits for Linens and Things and Circuit City as well as several online stores. It’s hard to know which shops are close to you in Maine. Try the same with the Tannic Acid Spray
But I’d really encourage you to remove the problem rather than relying on starting treatment while the mites are still around. You need to get the carpets steam cleaned, or even better removed. Consider buying a new mattress comferter and pillow if the ones he is sleeping on are old. You can get sheets and pillow covers that help reduce dustmites by physically blocking them and the build up of skin cells which they feed on. Launder the sheets at least weekly, maybe on a hot setting if they will tolerate the temperature – or buy a cold water additive (see natlallergy.com
Take a good look on allergy websites for a new vacuum cleaner that is designed to help with mites.
We solved our problems by removing carpets in the rooms where we spend most of the time – family room, bedrooms. We don’t need the chemicals.
Good luck!

5Linens and Things sells the acarosan powder- Try this link:

For the Tannic Acid Spray- Try this link:

Also buy a heavy duty air purifier with a HEPA filter. I too am allergic to dust mites. My doctor recommended this and it helped reduce my sinus allergy episodes tremendously. I even use a dust mask like painters wear when I dust to minimize my exposure. It really helps.
Best of luck to you.

6go to the health food store and get him some neem lotion and soap for his eczema. i got some on the recomadation of a manager at a local health food store. it was the best thing. my eczema had been on my leg for about 2 yrs. after i got off all the stuff i am allergic to my leg is clearing up. aveeno never worked this good. there are tannins in tea. put him in the bath tub and let him take is bath sometimes in tea. just make sure it has caffiene in it and it has tannins then. i tried this for a while and it helped to dry it up some. i have allergies to corn and wheat. i also have asthma, sinus and hay fever. i live in central texas. i take no meds at all for anything. i just stay off all foods that i am allergic to. i can’t help you whit what you are looking for. i am so sorry about that.
