I’ve suffered from that for several years. Took the carpet out, I have only washable blankets, covers etc. now it’s much better, almost inexistant. Is there anything else that I could improve moving to a new apartment?

1This is something that you just have to keep above. Vaccum and dust every week, change your sheets and wash them. Every few months wipe down your mattress with a moist cloth.
Other then that….buy some nice plants. It helps to improve the indoor air and will make you feel better about your new place.
Good luck

2Make sure the filters to your heating/AC unit are clean, and consider getting an air-cleaning unit of some sort. You’ve already dealt with the main villains.
Good luck!

3Encase your box spring, mattress and pillows. You can find these bed items at Walmart. They keep out dust mites and they are washable. .
If you have carpet flooring, get a good vacuum cleaner with a hepa filter. You may also want to invest in a air purifier that helps sanitize the air in the apartment.
