For about a month now my entire palm and fingers have been itchy and peeling. Lately they have been so bad if I itch them it hurts to bed them or close my fist. I have been using lotion for quite some time, no changes in hair products face wash soap lotion ect. Now they are so bad there are Red bumps under the skin almost looking like hives, I trie hydrocortisone cream and no relief. I am trying benadryl tonight but does any one know what may have causes this?!
( I live in Fla, where pollen is very high right now but no history of allergies to anything including seasonal allergies.)
It is on both palms. Benadryl did not help. I do not have insurance so I’m hoping this goes away. and as for shyphilis, I don’t see how this would be it because I am in a monogamous relationship.

1Go to a doctor! it could be anything from a normal skin irritant to a form of STD

2First, Is it 1 hand only or both?
Next, try and think if there is some reason for it to be there. Did you start using anything new like a lotion or did you recently start using a cleaning product that might be irritating? A "Contact Dermatitis" could be caused by any new cosmetic product or any product that you use your hands to apply. These may be causing the rash and avoidance may cause them to go away. This is probably the most likely cause of your rash and close monitoring of things that might be causing it is you best bet. The other option is that it is a reaction to excess sweating, but there is not specific treatment for it if that is the case, but usually clears up on its own. Keep you hands clean and dry, use gentle soap without fragrances and a mild scentless hand moisturizer is you best bet. If it persists and you need real help, make an appointment with a Dermatologist and don’t waste time with a primary care doctor.
If it is in both palms, and soles of feet there are some other things to consider. You should also look to see if there are any other rashes or warts anywhere. Syphillis may cause a rash on the palms and soles of the feet, but is usually not itchy and would be accompanied by genital lesions or warts.
