My husband is allergic to latex and has asthma. We’ve been thinking about getting a latex mattress because we heard they are comfortable but also good for people allergic to dust mites since they are dust mite free. We have also heard they remove the protein from the latex mattress so latex allergy sufferers can tolerate them. However, I have not read anything to confirm this. Anyone have any references on latex mattresses for latex & must mite allergy sufferers?

1I don’t really know the answer, but I would assume that it would not be a good idea to test it out with something that is so expensive.
For a dust mite allergy, just get a dust mite barrier for your mattress, box spring, and pillows.
I got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond. They range from 80-120$ depending on size and 20 for the pillow covers. They work great and only need to be washed once a season.
Just make sure you get the ones that encase the mattress with a zipper enclosure.

2Not sure about your question but I do sell a mattress model that is made of natural latax so you could investigate that also.
