If I keep my room at an extremely cold temperature will that help? How can I get over the fact these things may be crawling on my body. I can’t even touch or kiss another human being right now. I’m 15 and I just saw a picture of them for the first time in my life and I wish i’d never seen it, ignorance truly is bliss.

1You can’t. Dust mites are everywhere in your home and nearly impossible to eradicate. So long as you shed skin cells (and you will shed skin cells every minute of every day of your life) they’ll be there to gobble them up. It’s what they do. They’re on you, in your clothes, your furniture, your bed, carpeting, drapes, and silverware. They share space with billions of other mites, germs, bacteria, etc.
So stop freaking out before you turn into one of those weird phobics and end up being interviewed on some stupid talk show while wearing a sterile environmental suit. Just deal with it.

3Only if your house is on the moon…
They are inevitable. Just forget you ever saw those pictures.
Dust regularly. Wash your bedsheets regularly. Mop the floors. Get rid of carpeting, if you can.

4This is impossible because every house has dust mites. They mostly live in carpets. Removing the carpet in your room would decrease the amount of dust mites that you have along with dusting and vacuuming your room every day. This is just something that everyone lives with and does not think about because unless you have severe allergies, it causes no problems.
