Those dust mites live off the skin you shed, not on you. While you may have some dry skin on you at the moment, you can help that out with a nice bath or body oil and lotion. The rest you can help but just trying not to think about it. There are dust mites all over the place, in the carpet, the curtains, the cushions, you name it. They've always been there, and you did just fine until you were made aware of them. They are probably still there, though in somewhat lower numbers since you washed. However, if you really feel that there is an issue, rent a small steamer & steam clean the mattress, bleach the mattress pad, and wash your sheets using a detergent/fabric softener that is free of dyes & perfumes. This way you will have eliminated everything possible that could be causing the itching. And while you are at it, rewash what you wear to bed in the same detergent and don't let any pets in the bed. More likely than not the itching is psychosomatic.
