My mother in law is a very dirty person. She claims to get allergy with strong soaps, detergents and shampoos, so she uses the mildest of the mild products on her body and clothes. The problem is, shes just too dirty for the soap to be effective. She even sleeps with a stray cat in her bed, that she allows to go into the neighbors trash. Now she has scabies and has infected my daughter. That is how dirty she is.
She is also very stubborn. If you tell her she has to be careful with stray cats because of rabies or scabies, she just doesn’t listen.
I’m thankful though that she hasn’t gotten AIDS or hepatitis from wherever, because with her recklessness, stubborness and selfishness, she would get the entire household infected. I saw her getting a spoonful of sugar to place in her coffee. She licked the spoon, then got another spoonful. Hmm.. sugar and saliva of someone else in my cup of coffee.
She is also a liar, so she most probably lies to whatever doctor she goes to. Thats why it took a month to diagnose her scabies.
She does whatever she wants whenever she wants, but is too proud to admit what she did was wrong and eventually lies or hides facts that she ever did the wrong deed.

1You know how she lives yet you allow your child to be around that filth. I would be more concerned over your lack of good parenting skills compared to how someone else lives.

3Do you live with your mother-in-law? If you live in her house, you need to get your own place because you really have no business telling her how to live her life.
If you do not live with her, then tell her that she can only see her grandchild if she is clean and doesn’t have any health issues. How does your spouse feel about her? You two really need to be on the same page on this issue.
You are only in control of yourself and it’s up to you to protect your child. You cannot change your mother-in-law, if she doesn’t want to change.

4IF you live with her get out and find another house to live in. I wouldn’t risk my family getting what she is getting. Your MIL has some very serious issues going on in her head.
