i think i saw some dusmites. they look like tiny seethrough white bugs and i think i saw some on my calculator and books.

Dust mites are microscopic.

I’ve always heard that dust mites are microscopic in size — cannot be seen without a microscope. Could they possibly be young termites?

They are to small to see. They don’t bite but their dropping can cause allergies in some people.
