If you don't feel it, then I think he is imagining it. By chance, does he take acid?

I don't know how to help you but I can tell you that if it were fleas, you would see them. And they bite so you would both be covered with red bumps (bites) in the morning.

Dust mites are so incredibly tiny, we never feel those crawling on us.

Maybe it's in your husbands head. I'm not saying he's crazy but if you don't notice anything, the sheets are clean and you haven't seen anything or been biten, maybe it's something in his brain that makes his feel like bugs are crawling on him. It's just a suggestion but it's not uncommon.

I believe you can use a carpet shampooer on the matress. But you shouldn't need to.

What happens sometimes is that the new mattress was delivered to you in a truck with your new mattress and somebody else's old ones...if one of those mattresses had bedbugs you would get them in the new mattress. Check for that first. If you see a dark line in the edge of the mattress where the cording is or if you have little red bites in the morning this could be the case. If that has happened then call the store and have them deliver a new mattress in a clean, empty truck!
