Its sounds to me as if they are bed bugs..
Have you ever seen a picture? Well I had bed bug problem in my home too and they are really hard to find unless the infestation has grown way too much.

There are some products i found that could be used for both bed bugs and fleas as well. Such as an aerosol spray Bed Lam. Being an aerosol spray and all it has the ability to kill the minute it is sprayed on the pest itself. But you have to consider that fact that it will take some time if not sprayed directly on top of the bug.

Check this site out http://www.pestmall.com/bed-bugs.html they have real videos on bed bug inspections and treatment methods.

and the link to the bed lam product http://www.pestmall.com/beinsptokibe.html

It was very helpful to me so i advise you try too.

Sounds like bed bugs to me. But one time I was almost convinced that we had bed bugs because we kept getting bites, and I never found any evidence of bugs in our house. It turned out that we had chiggers in our yard. Which can leave bites similar looking to bed bug bites. And you don't notice you have them until after the bug has already bitten you. You may look into that. I believe chiggers are also red. I know some people call them red bugs.

if you know what fleas look like then you know this is the problem . dust mites are microscopic and can not be seen with the naked eye although they leave little black dots all over so you know they are there also bed bugs are very hard to spot they also leave a trail of black dots i would suggest an exterminator if you can afford but if not go to tyour local hard ware store or anywhere you can find pesticides and find the best product you feel for the job good luck.
