Alright I just got a used laz boy from my buddy and after sitting in it for a couple of days I’ve been having terrible allergies for the first time in my life. First question – Can I develop a dust allergy now at my age of 21? Second question – Is the couch worth keep/how to get all the dust/dust mites outta there! I banged on the couch outside with a lacrosse stick and the dust was pouring out I then sprayed the hell out of it with Febreeze allergen reducer. Tomorrow I’ll vacuum it. Any other ideas/suggestions?

1Yes you can develop allergies at 21, the couch is not worth keeping unless you can wash it down and use a upholstery cover like canvas to recover it. Many people develop allergies for the first time on the own in their early twenties after leaving home for the first time, remember mom kept a clean house for you right? Second you never know what you are allergic to if you haven’t been tested or came into contact with the allergen giving you problems. third dust and mold cause many people hay fever attacks. Mold and dust is probably the culprit here.
