I wanted to see if I got dust mites under a magnifying glass. i have a 10 X strong one now and i cant see them, I want to be able to see their legs and and stuff. How strong does it have to be?
a dust mite is about the same size as a gnat (the annoying little fly like creatures) you can see it with the naked eye but to see it you probably need about 200x magnification. remember that the standard eyepiece has 10x. to get the total magnification multiply this by you lens. so you need a 10x eye piece and a 20x lens. other than that you have to experiment.
