Voodoo is right, it’s a marketing ploy. Dust mites are everywhere except maybe high altitudes, they reproduce quickly and need humidity to do so. You can reduce them by removing all carpeting in your house, having vinyl or leather furniture, Wiping surfaces constantly(fun fun) with soapy water. But no matter what, you won’t ever get completely get rid of them.

2Yes, if you have dust, you have dust mites. That’s what makes people allergic to dust.

3Yeah, your home has them, and so does mine. They are everywhere.
They are teeny-tiny itty-bitty microscopic critters. And they aren’t causing you a bit of harm.
So, yes, it’s mostly a marketing ploy. All the super-suction vacuums, antibacterial sprays, etc. in the world won’t eradicate them.

5Everyone has them, but you can’t get rid of them completely.
BTW, did you know that people allergic to dust are actually allergic to the protein in dust mite poop? *shudder*
