I v vaccuumed my futon mattress and changed my sheets repeatedly.

1i think the symptoms vary from person 2 person depending on the severity of the allergic reaction..my 2 yr old son recently had an allergy test and it said he was allergic 2 dust mites, there isnt much u can do because they are everywhere i was told to change sheets regularly, vaccume regularly and dry his clothes and sheets in the dryer.he sometimes has the symptoms u are talking about sometimes very red bumpy skin, other times just red.if it is a real problem then i would suggest going to an allergy specialist just to make sure it is dust mites and not some other nasty u may have in the house.hope this helps

2Everyone I know with dust allergies usually get respiratory symptoms–sneezing, coughing, runny nose, itchy eyes. Are you positive it’s not bed bugs or scabies?
My fiance has a dust allergy and I was reading that rubbing alcohol kills the mites. The site said to spray your mattress down with rubbing alcohol, let it dry, then vacuum. I’ve also used it for general household cleaning, and in my carpet shampooer. Thought I’d mention that in case you want to try it.
It would probably be good if you saw the doctor. They can do allergy tests to find out for sure.

3vacuuming is NOT going to get rid of the problem. you have to plan on changing pillows every 3 months, and occasionally placing blankets out on the line in the sun, or on heat cycles in the dryer.
gross as it is, mites crawl around in your nose and mouth and on your body. it’s not so much the bug that causes problems as it is their feces (poop) from eating remnants of your skin, dandruff, and other body parts that you are constantly shedding.
almost everybody are allegic to dust mites
