Yes, and No, I don't sleep with dust mites/fecal matter because..... I don't make my bed until the afternoon ! Dust mites LOVE a freshly slept in bed made first thing in the morning.. INSTEAD I strip the bed and let it air out.. I usually leave my ceiling fan on and give the mattress a good spritz of febreze OR lysol disentfectant spray.. Let it dry and afew hours later make the bed.. I also sleep with a mattress cover that's machine washable that's a barrier between me/mattress.. I wash it once a week when I change my bedding... Every six months I flip/turn my mattress and sprinkle it with baking soda and use my shop vac to throughly clean both sides.... If you are really really concerned about dust mites there are mattress covers that go around the whole mattress to "seal" it from dust mites... It's also good to replace your mattress every ten yrs or so.... good luck

Wow, I guess that means that I don't have any dust mites or their fecal matter because I hardly ever make my bed at all. Anyhow, yes, I know that. I also know that I sleep with bed bugs and their fecal matter as well as mine and my husbands dead skin particles. EEEWWW. Anyhow, just part of the cycle of life. Everyone has them, but it's usually best not to think about it. If you get a new mattress at least every 10 years and change your pillow yearly, the chances of ever seeing any of these buggies are slim. Did you know that you eat bug parts and mouse/rat droppings and hairs on a daily basis? If you eat canned or processed food, then you do. Dwell on that one.
