In the beginning of 2008, I started feeling bugs crawling on my skin, but of course, there’s nothing ever there. I feel it everywhere, on my legs, in my hair, behind my ears, on my neck, EVERYWHERE, except for in the pubic area (Thank God!), and it causes me to itch a lot. I can’t sleep unless there is a fan blowing on me and I’m drugged up on sleeping pills; it’s the only way I get sleep. When I’m at school, I have to constantly shake my legs, or be a busy-body so that I don’t have to feel it.
Lately, I’ve noticed some discoloration on some areas of my skin; on my arms, legs and hands. I’ve searched around and read that this feeling is called ‘Formication’ and it says that it can be a side effect from medication, or withdrawal from drugs and alcohol.
I’ve never done drugs and I don’t drink, and I’m not on any type of medication. I also read that it could be a symptom of Diabetes and menopause; but diabetes doesn’t run in my family and my periods are as regular as can be plus I’m only 16, so menopause can’t be it.
I’m a clean person, I have a regular cleaning routine that I follow. I even have a plastic cover over my mattresses, so it can’t be some type of parasite infestation.
So what the heck is it? I’m freaking out; my grades are horrible because I can’t concentrate. Every day I want pull out my freaking hair, I even have thoughts of suicide because I hate living like this. My mom says I’m crazy and my dad, well, there are no words to describe my dad.
Please help, I’m in dire need. I hate going to bed and I’m getting to point where I just don’t want to live anymore. Could it be diabetes or something else?
Thanks in advance to anyone who answers and please no rude comments, I’m really upset about this and I want some information.

1I would make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible. It could be anything from neurological, hormonal, chemical, skin disorder, etc…You really should see your doctor; especially since you are having suicidal thoughts, too.
Praying you get a diagnosis soon and relief from your symptoms.
