I just found out that vinyl mattress covers are loaded with lead and phylates. I looked up rubber covers but the prices are outrageous, What is the alternative to that for allergies that is also waterproof?

I'm going to be purchasing some fabric allergy mattress/pillow covers to help cut down on dust mites.
Of the 2 that I'm looking at one has a pore size of 2.8 microns (this is made for dust and pet dander) and the other has a pore size of 6 microns.
