My husband and I bought a new house four months ago. Our carpet is new, we have allergy covers on our mattress and [...]

We will be purchasing a high end mattress and box spring set. The company offers a "10 year mattress protection plan + machine washable allergy protective cover" for 0. Is this worth it? Under what circumstances would anyone employ a mattress protection plan?

I just found out that vinyl mattress covers are loaded with lead and phylates. I looked up rubber covers but the prices are outrageous, What is the alternative to that for allergies that is also waterproof?

Would the 2.8 micron fabric less breathable [...]
