Dust mites are good as they eat dead skin cells and dust so technically there is no reason to get rid of them unless you have asthma. On average a person has 5,000,000 dust mites on ones pillow. The tumble dry will kill the mites, but they will be back. You could also use: Blow drier, sunlight, etc... more heat the better i believe around 160 degrees will kill 100% of the mites, but don't burn your house down! Also if you really want to get rid of the dust mites. 1. Clean all your linen. (wash in hot water, dry hot, etc.) Add bleach if you can. 2. Open your windows... let the sunlight come in. 3. Clean your air.. either use a air purifier or just open some windows. 4. Air conditioning will help also, since it will keep the humidity down.
