I have ruled out pretty much all other possible causes of intense itchiness of the skin and very intense sneezing
I have had the cat for eight years and not noticed a problem before.
About 6 months ago I had very intense itching in bed and got rid of a body spray and was ok
I have covered my mattress with an anti-allergen/dust mite cover and have laundered all by bed linen with non-perfume non-allery detergent.
Yesterday I bought a non-allergy duvet cover and I also enclosed my pillows in non-allergy/dust mite zip-up covers and put them in freshly laundered pillowcases.
Last night I went to bed and I was still itching like crazy. I got up and sneezed several times, very intensely.
I cant go to Dr. until Monday and I think I’ll go mad if I don’t get some sleep by the end of the weekend! I don’t think it is scabies because I have no physical contact with anyone nor do I share towels, linens etc
Can you help?? I am going nuts

1there are many environmental factors to which you could be allergic–dust, dustmites, molds, dander, laundry detergents, etc..–if you can take over the counter allergy meds until you can see the doctor, try benadryl or claritin to see if it helps you get through the weekend.

2Even though you’ve had a cat for 8 years and have not had a problem before, it is possible to develop an allergy over time. If you have ruled out everything else, I think it is very probable you are allergic to your cat. But there’s no way of knowing until you go to your doctor and get an allergy test.
