I have ruled out pretty much all other possible causes of intense itchiness of the skin and very intense sneezing
I have had the cat for eight years and not noticed a problem before.
About 6 months ago I had very intense itching in bed and got rid of a body spray and was ok
I have covered my mattress with an anti-allergen/dust mite cover and have laundered all by bed linen with non-perfume non-allery detergent.
Yesterday I bought a non-allergy duvet cover and I also enclosed my pillows in non-allergy/dust mite zip-up covers and put them in freshly laundered pillowcases.
Last night I went to bed and I was still itching like crazy. I got up and sneezed several times, very intensely.
I cant go to Dr. until Monday and I think I’ll go mad if I don’t get some sleep by the end of the weekend! I don’t think it is scabies because I have no physical contact with anyone nor do I share towels, linens etc
Can you help?? I am going nuts

1First, take an antihistamine.
You’re probably reacting now because there’s also a lot of pollen in the air. You can tolerate your cat under normal circumstances, but with the pollen you’re just on overload and your system has had enough and wants to fight back.
Loratadine works best for me…I take it all spring and summer. One pill a day, and it’s like a miracle. It’s the generic version of Claritin.
Good luck!

2I had the same problem and heres what i found.
I have a female cat of my own and have no problems with her but as soon as i go to my grans i feel like you know what
I found that i was alergic to male cats ( At least i think haha).
Or it could just be the hairs of your cat flowing into your nose ;D

3no you cant be allergic at one point and not at another but it is possible it could have been laying dorment inside if it does not stop please leave the cat round a friends house and sleep in a different bed for a few days if it stops and starts again when cat comes back you know that it is the cat but when something is dorment inside it can become ‘extinct’ which means it was dorment then it got activated then it died off this can happen normally or your immune system can fight it off

5I would just take some Actifed or Benadryl so you can get some sleep until you can see the Dr.
