1Ldy_moon: Your best option is to buy or rent steam cleaning wand. The price starts at about $79.00 for a small one. The steam will kill the bedbugs and the eggs. This will eliminate the use of pesticide on your mattress. Look in the yellow pages for local rental if you do not want to purchase one.

3Well sounds like you haven’t been washing the sheets once a week like you should. But in any case there is this special spray you can buy at Wal Mart or Target just ask for the bug spray section.

4Take the matress of the bed and hoover it thouroughly both sides, wash pillows or better still buy new ones, also wash duvet(or take to laundrette. Don’t know whether you can buy repellent sprays or not, but a phone call to your local chemist will tell you. Also hoover around the back/under and around the bed thouroughly. I hoover our matresses every few months. You may have to do it more frequently if he is having a reaction. Hope this helps. Don’t panic..and it doesn’t mean you are unclean. Everyone has bed bugs, they feed off the dead skin cells that we all naturally shed. Some people don’t bother hoovering matresses and never have a problem. Your son is obviously more sensitive to this. Good luck.

6Bed bugs can be difficult to erridicate depending on size of infestation. typically it will take quite a bit of effort to rid them. take the following steps to help control them.
1 clean up all clutter, such as clothing piles
2 bag and wash all linen and clothing worn and change and wash linen regularly make sure you bag them to prevent them from spreading
3 shower and wash hair
4 check around bed for bed bugs and eggs, they usually like to stay in *crevices* like seams of bed, baseboards, between mattress, behind head boards and other places that are not in direct light.
5 use a non-toxic pest control dust as spray are only effective during direct contact. (read directions carefully)
6 vaccuum mattress and surrounding areas, when finished seal bag and throw out to make sure they don’t find their way back in the house, best to pour some bug killer in the bag upon disposal
this is not an overnight cure unfortunately and if problem persist or worsen you may have to call a pest control company.
for more information check with your local health office.
best of luck

7spray the mattress really well with bug spray, then vacuum the bugs up when they die. do this on both sides of the mattress. after fabreeze antibacterial spray will keep them away. use it each time you change the sheets

8Diatomaceous Earth… utterly safe for your child. If your child is sensitive, I think it would be more damaging to him to use harmful/toxic pesticides in his environment than the bed bugs themselves.
