Your furniture when you take it outside to move get a flashlight and some lysol and spray around and watch for movement. Pay attention to cracks, thats where they hide. The lysol is to make them move, it wont kill them. It might slow them down so you can get them. I acgtually I kid you not, bought gallon size extra large super giant and every single item I moved was inside a plastic bag. I felt safe and secure doing this. It should help you to as far as your move. Google bed bugs and read any message boards you can find for info or home remedies too. I wonder if they like the taste of calamine lotion or soemthing like that you could apply each night and wash off in the shower each morning? Tape shut all around electrical outlets, tape the carpet to the wall, using clear wide tape to seal that up near your bed and couch for now. I had scorpions all kinds all sizes. I threw away all my furiture that wasnt glass or metal and totally sealed, I mean all of it. I bagged up my things well in advance. I put the filled bags in those giant plastic bins with no holes in the bottom, and put the lids on when full and got thick plastic tape and taped the sides up. I stacked each bin when full so that nothing could come in boxes to my new place. I put things in bags, that I could not check well and left them sealed up for a few months undisturbed, and opened them outside to watch for anything scurrying. I moved no scorpions with me at all. I can sleep peacefully now. Bed bugs if you read up on them, live in places such as electric plug sockets, cracks where the carpet meets the wall, places like that besides other things like dressers, tables under beds. Since the outlawing of using I think it was DDT no truly eradication poison is available. Packing up now as I suggested will help your move go easier.
