Ok so I rented a room at a friends house for a month. He rents out another room in the house to some weirdo… but anyway.
So I got a brand new mattress, and duvet and pillows, (even though there was already a single bed in there for the guy who stayed there before). My first night there I got bitten like crazy. Acouple of nights later I found two bed bugs crawling on the single bed and also a few little bed bug stains. So I told my friend and we threw out the single bed and my new mattress, I also threw out my son’s crib mattress, and I washed all our clothes in hot water and dried them on hot for at least 30 mins, my friend and I also sprayed the room twice. I even threw out my pillows and sealed my duvet in a black plastic bag and left it in the sun (I’ll probably just throw it out anyway). My son and I have been staying in the living room and I bought another mattress and an expensive bed bug cover for it. I have spent so much money washing clothes, and buying new stuff, but I don’t mind because we haven’t been bitten since.
We checked my friend’s bed and he doesn’t have any signs of bed bugs and he’s never been bitten. That other weirdo won’t let us look at his mattress, but says he’s never been bitten. He looks grossthough, like hedoesn’t brush his teeth.
Now, this has all happened over the course of August and our new place is ready. I’m just wondering if I should take all our clothes to the laundromat or the dry cleaner again?
Should buy my baby a new crib? I already need to buy him a new mattress, but the frame has just been hanging out in that bed bug room, and it’s freaking me out. I don’t even want to go in there. Honestly I’ve never been through this, I’ve never lived in a place where this may be an issue. So any advice at all would be wonderful. I sooo don’t want to take these ugly little effers to follow us!!!

2For now, the best way to kill bed bugs is by applying Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth in the right locations. There are a ton of comments from visitors from around the world explaining how they got rid of bed bugs using this natural power found on our bed bug treatment page.
