I have been itchy for 3 months. I have itchy bumps on my stomach, back, arms, legs, bra, sock & underwear line and now starting on my neck. Each bump last for about a week with new ones forming all the time. Sometimes they will form in small areas of 3 or they welt up like a mosquito bite. I know its in my house (cause I went on vacation and they disappeared).
I got a bunny 3 months ago. I have checked him for fleas and see none. I’m allergic to cats, but in the sneezy, irritated eyes sorta way. Can I be allergic to bunny in a different way; where I just get itchy?
I have hardwood floors and am constantly sweeping and mopping. I wash my sheets at least once a week and i think that helps, but who knows? I vacuumed my mattress and sprayed it with mite/lice killer. No help. Is it bunny allergies? Dust mites? Bed Bugs? What else could it be? I haven’t changed shampoo, body wash, perfume, air freshener, cleaner…
Oh, and my boyfriend stays with me and he doesn’t have symptoms! Lucky

1The allergen that causes an allergic reaction to bunnies is very similar to the protein that causes the allergic reaction to cats. So, I am not surprised that you are allergic to cats and are having a reaction to the bunny.
They actually make a solution to rub on cats, bunnies, gerbils, hamsters, etc. once a week to neutralize the protein that causes the reaction. It actually comes from the saliva of the bunny.
Anyway, the stuff is called Allerpet. That will help. All the sprays and stuff you did for the mattress would help if it is dust mite, but it is probably bunny. No reason to get rid of bunny, just use the Allerpet and wash your hands thoroughly after playing with the bunny.
